Welcome to a new school year and your first at The Polygon! We look forward to working with you, helping you to settle into our school and guiding you through a successful year.
Your first term will present many challenges as you adapt to your new journeys to school, new faces and new subjects. While some of you will adapt quickly to these changes, some of you will need access to the support systems we have in place. As a tutor group, we will be spending a lot of time with each other throughout the school day - during breakfast club, citizenship and PiXL – giving you time to build positive relationships with your peers and teachers, which will make your transition that little bit easier.
At school, we expect you to be kind and respectful to others and your school environment and show positive attitudes towards learning, including always trying your best and asking questions when you do not understand. Learning is a skill and will require you to build your resilience so that you can learn from your mistakes and improve. We will be in regular contact with your adult(s) at home and look forward to sharing your many achievements.
School teaches you the life skills that you will need for the future in order to achieve your full potential. Here, at The Polygon, there are so many exciting opportunities to try and learn lots of new things. We offer a wide variety of extra-curricular clubs and activities and trips and visits take place throughout the year, which we would love for you to be a part of. We urge you to take full advantage of and participate in all these wonderful opportunities available to you.
