At The Polygon we have a zero tolerance to bullying. We believe each pupil has the right to feel and be safe while at school. This is important for our pupil’s social and emotional well being, pupils who feel secure learn more effectively.
Bullying in school is against the law and victims of bullying should not feel embarrassed or that it is their fault.
We recognise that bullying can happen and we will do our best to prevent it and to deal with it effectively.
Every November The Polygon School participates in Anti-Bullying Week.
As part of the National Anti-Bullying Initiative our pupils promoted Anti-Bullying Week and initiated as a whole school approach through Breakfast Clubs and Assemblies.
Many students are awarded Anti-Bullying wristbands to encourage their fellow pupils to take a stand against bullying.
The Polygon School promotes a school environment that is a welcoming, inclusive and safe place for all students, parents, teachers, and staff. We take a strong stance against any bullying behaviour and promote anti-bullying attitudes and address bullying.
We know that by helping to build relationships in schools where students feel connected, valued, and supported, we can reduce negative behaviours such as bullying.
