Annual Head Boy elections

Head boy elections

Every September the school community comes together and takes part in an election process to pick a Head boy. All of the Year 11 pupils are on the ballot and staff and pupils cast a vote to pick who they want to represent the school,

This ties in with our Citizenship curriculum as we look at local and National politics and how elections are held and the importance of them,

The Head boy role in school is only achieved by a select few and part of their duties are to mentor the younger pupils and to represent the school when visitors come in; to show them around and speak to them about life at The Polygon School.

This year only two votes split the top two candidates!  Our thanks go to all who voted and congratulations to our Head boy and Deputy Head boy.
