The Polygon hits the news again!
Dear Parents and Carers,
Every now and then, a very special opportunity comes our way, and we love being able to celebrate the fantastic achievements of our students.
Last year, students from our school took part in the Saints Foundation Premier League Inspires Challenge. The challenge invited young people from Saints Foundation partner schools to develop their own ideas and projects focused on mental health. The boys identified a simple but important issue: men do not always talk when they are struggling. From this starting point, they developed the idea of creating a film that would encourage men and boys to open up, talk about how they are feeling, and recognise that asking for help is a strength.
With the support of local video production company Five Five Media, they brought their vision to life over the summer.
Last night, the students and staff involved attended a special premiere at St Mary's Stadium, where their achievements were recognised and celebrated. The students were presented with awards by Francis Benali in recognition of their hard work, creativity and commitment to the project.
This morning at 9:00am, the film was officially released across social media and is now available to watch on YouTube and the Saints Foundation channels. The school has also been interviewed by BBC South Today, and press releases have been distributed to the media.
We would love for you to join us in celebrating this incredible achievement by watching the film. We are immensely proud of what our students have accomplished and the important message they are sharing.
We will also be updating our school blog throughout the week with behind-the-scenes footage and photographs from the project, so please do keep checking for updates.
Thank you for your continued support.
