Welcome to Year 9! We are excited to begin this important year with you and look forward to supporting you as you continue your journey through Key Stage 3. This year will provide many opportunities for you to develop your skills, increase your independence, and continue to grow both academically and personally. 

As your class tutor, I am here to support, guide and encourage you throughout the year. Together, we will work to build positive relationships, develop confidence, and ensure that everyone feels safe, valued and respected within our classroom and wider school community. We want Year 9 to be a place where everyone feels able to challenge themselves, learn from mistakes and celebrate successes. 

This year is an important stepping stone towards Key Stage 4. You will begin thinking more about your future, exploring your interests and strengths, and making choices that will help prepare you for the years ahead. We will encourage you to take greater responsibility for your learning, organisation and behaviour, while continuing to support one another as a team. 

We have high expectations of you because we know what you are capable of achieving. We would like you to continue building on the hard work and progress you have made in previous years, showing maturity, resilience and respect in everything you do. We also hope that you will become positive role models for younger pupils and take pride in representing both your class and the school. 

There will be plenty of opportunities to learn, take part in new experiences, celebrate achievements and create positive memories throughout the year. Most importantly, we want each of you to show the very best version of yourselves and to recognise the progress you make along the way. 

We are looking forward to a fantastic year together and can't wait to see all that you achieve.
