The school has a specific curriculum for a small group of pupils who require intensive education delivered on an individual basis. Known as “The Stretch Programme”, the outreach work is for named children, who, for a variety of reasons are unable to access lessons on the main site, or at Morris House.
Each programme of study is designed to address the individual need of the child, using the rich learning resources available in the community.
This is a new venture between the Polygon School Governors and Southampton City Council. The programme was developed as a response to the growing need for specialist SEMH school places. The management committee includes the SEND manager, the Headteacher and Governors responsible for curriculum.
Please direct any enquiries to Mrs Hendon-John, Headteacher in the first instance.
