Engagement Programme

Morris House Engagement Centre

Morris House is the Polygon School's Engagement Centre and is situated at the top of the school drive. There are 3 main members of staff based at Morris House, they are:

Miss Ash – Teacher

Mr Rooke – Pupil Engagement Officer

Mr Willis – SSA

At Morris House we believe that fair is not everyone getting the same thing but everyone getting what they need to succeed, which is why we offer an alternative programme of education for pupils whom the main school curriculum is not appropriate

Our main focus in on Pupil Engagement, raising Attendance and Nurture.

Activities

Pupils who attend Morris House are encouraged to wear school uniform when on site. All pupils are offered the opportunity to join the main school site at break time and lunch time to join in with social activities.

Where it is felt appropriate pupils are supported in joining main school site academic lessons in line with their year group’s timetable.

All pupils will work towards academic qualifications as on the main school. In addition they will work towards qualifications linked to the Engagement activities on offer, for example cycling will lead towards qualifications in National Standards Road Safety and GEARS Mountain Biking Skills Award.
