Last week a group of Year 10 pupils went to CEMAST Fareham College for the iConstrust careers event.
Whilst there the students interviewed a company called Selwood, who are a waste water removal company. Based on their interview they made a portfolio of the company and presented their findings to members of the iConstruct team.
Pupils also used plant machine simulators to see what it was like to work in demolition and grounds working. They then had a bricklaying taster session in building a brick wall. They also took part in using remote control trench diggers.
The plant machinery simulator operators were really impressed with the pupils efforts and spoke to them about apprenticeships within the industry. All of the pupils represented the school well and we thank iConstruct for giving them this opportunity.
