Thursday 3rd September 2020
Dear members of the Polygon School community,
It is wonderful that we are welcoming back the whole school next week.
Year 7 and Key Stage 4 pupils are expected in school on Monday 7th September at 11.00 a.m
Year 8 and 9 pupils will re-start on TUESDAY 8th September at 08.40 a.m
The Governors have taken steps to ensure that those people using the school building are as safe as they possibly can be.
Temperatures will be taken from every person entering the building. Those with a high temperature will be returned home.
Children moving around the building will be limited, with most pupils spending the majority of their lessons in the same classroom. However, when moving around in communal corridors, pupils will be expected to wear a face covering. PLEASE ENSURE YOUR CHILD HAS THEIR OWN FACE COVERING TO WEAR FOR USE IN SCHOOL AND TRAVELLING TO AND FROM SCHOOL. It is not anticipated that pupils will need to wear face coverings for long, perhaps only a few minutes is they find they need to walk in a corridor when it is busy.
Pupils will be issued with their personal equipment for writing and drawing, to try to reduce the risk of cross-contamination.
An additional member of domestic staff has been employed so there is a continual cleaning presence for all communal areas throughout the day.
Social distancing will be practiced.
Hand washing will be an expectation at the start of each lesson.
We look forward to next to both new and returning pupils next week.
Above all, stay safe.
