    Congratulations!

Miss Newman, building on from the Green Phone project, has won The Nature Prize from Let´s Go Zero!  The school is buying materials to build; badger huts, hedgehog hotels and birdhouses.  These projects, with Let´s go Zero by 2020, will continue on the long history of working outside with nature at our school.

Healthy High Five Silver Award Achieved!

"If we work together, staff and pupils,

I am sure we can achieve a Silver award." - Miss Long (Nov. 2022)

In November, we told you about how our pupils have been involved with the "Healthy High Five Award" since 2021 and achieved the Bronze award in the first year.  It is with great pleasure we can say that Miss Long (who leads the award) and all at The Polygon School have achieved her aim in the above quote and gained the Silver award!  The “Healthy High 5” Award was launched in Southampton to make it easier for schools to provide fun, healthy activities for children that improve well-being.

This success has inspired one of our partner schools in the International Schools Award, Húsaskóli in Iceland, to take up the awards philosophy and integrate it in their own Health Body and Mind project.

We look forward to news in the future of Miss Long and the whole school achieving the Gold Award!
